Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information geocontinua.com ("this site") collects, why, and what rights you have over it. Geocontinua Technologies is an independent consultancy operated by Erik Duncan, who is the controller of any personal data described here. If you have questions, email ecduncan@geocontinua.com.
Information you provide
When you use the contact form, this site collects the name, email address, and message you enter (and a subject line, if you provide one). That information is used solely to respond to your inquiry — it is sent by email and is not added to a mailing list, marketing database, or CRM, and it is never sold or shared with advertisers.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand overall traffic and performance — things like which pages are visited and how quickly they load. These tools are cookieless: they don't set tracking cookies, don't use persistent identifiers, and don't follow you across other sites. The data they collect is aggregated and is not used to build a profile of you individually. Because no tracking cookies are used, this site does not need a cookie consent banner.
Who this information is shared with
A small number of service providers process this data on my behalf, strictly to run the site and deliver your message:
- Vercel — website hosting and the analytics described above.
- Resend — delivers contact form messages by email; it processes message content only in transit to my inbox.
- Google Workspace — hosts the inbox that receives contact form messages.
These providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Each maintains its own data protection safeguards and compliance commitments. I don't use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services on this site.
Legal basis for processing
For visitors in the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with similar requirements: contact form submissions are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to inquiries you voluntarily initiate. Aggregate, cookieless analytics are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding and maintaining site performance.
How long information is kept
Contact form messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry, generally no longer than 24 months, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous, and is not linked back to identifiable individuals.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data you've submitted, and to object to or restrict how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, email ecduncan@geocontinua.com. If you're not satisfied with how a request is handled, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Children
This site is intended for business and research audiences and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
